CAR SURVIVAL KIT REVIEW
The Auto Survival Kit by StatGear was specifically developed to help you prepare for most emergencies you may face on the road. The kit attaches to your passenger side sun visor or can easily be stored under your seat, in the truck, in a side door compartment.
Items included in the kit are the T3 Tactical Auto Rescue Tool, emergency drinking water, light stick, band-aids, ace bandage, gauze, two ready-to-use ice packs, surgical gloves, medical tape, tweezers, and more.
We can only think of the positives as we review this kit. It is very easy to forget that anything can happen when driving a vehicle. You never know when or if you may become stranded, come upon someone who needs help, or face a natural disaster.
After reviewing the contents of the emergency kit that came with my car, I quickly found that it was missing a few key components. First and foremost, it doesn’t come with a “tactical tool.” StatGear is known for its T3 Tactical Auto Rescue Tool that comes equipped with a loaded steel window punch, stainless steel hook blade for seat belt cutting, LED light, and 1/2 serrated 440C stainless steel knife blade. The tool gives you a greater ability to save lives in the case of an emergency.
Secondly, the light stick is a nice addition in the case that you are stranded out in the middle of nowhere and don’t have a flashlight on hand. The surgical gloves are also very important in the case that you are tasked with helping others.
Another major benefit of the kit is the casing it comes in. The pack is relatively light and comes with Velcro straps that fit nicely over most sun visors. It should be mentioned that it’s best if you keep the pack within arms-reach at all times when driving. If you are faced with a major accident, you may not be able to move far enough to access it. This is why StatGear fashioned it to fit over the passenger side visor.
The Auto Survival Kit by StatGear is an excellent investment, especially at price point of $64.99. There is no telling what can happen at any moment when traveling by car. Being prepared for nearly any scenario not only safeguards your life, it safeguards every other person you come across on the road.
